Job Title: Senior Cisco Network Engineer (W2 Only)
Contract Type/Duration: 12-month contract, with potential extension or conversion
Location: 100% Remote
Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with occasional after-hours work for implementations


Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network solutions, with a strong emphasis on traffic management, load balancing, and secure remote access. This role requires close collaboration with application teams, monitoring and optimizing network performance, conducting regular health checks, addressing security vulnerabilities, and supporting routing, switching, VPN, and wireless technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement traffic management and load balancing solutions (Netscaler preferred), including certificate management and Web Application Firewall (WAF) capabilities.

  • Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.

  • Perform regular security health checks and address vulnerabilities promptly.

  • Support routing, switching, VPN, and wireless networking technologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-level solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Cisco Firewalls, VPN services, and wireless technologies

  • Experience with MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, SONET

  • Enterprise-wide network projects & disaster recovery planning


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 5 7 years of professional networking experience

  • CCNP certification preferred
