Description
We are looking for a skilled Ruby Developer to join our team in Garland, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving Ruby on Rails development, front-end frameworks, and API integrations. This position requires a collaborative approach to software development and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring scalability and performance.
Upgrade existing systems from Rails 5 to newer versions, including Rails 7.2 or 8.
Design and implement RESTful APIs, both for internal use and integration with third-party services.
Collaborate on front-end development using frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.
Transition rendering processes from server-side to client-side for improved performance.
Conduct thorough testing using RSpec, adhering to modular and collaborative QA principles.
Manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines, contributing to efficient build-and-release workflows.
Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for system migration and setup.
Monitor and optimize applications using cloud tools such as New Relic and AWS CloudWatch.
Develop real-time features with WebSocket protocols, with a preference for Solid Cable.
Requirements
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development.
Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.
Experience with RSpec for testing and quality assurance.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modular deployment strategies.
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Proficiency in cloud monitoring tools such as New Relic and AWS CloudWatch.
Experience with containerized workflows using Docker.
