Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Lead to design, develop, and lead the implementation of scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, and backend databases such as RDS, SQL, or PostgreSQL. Experience with Apache Flink or AI/ML integrations is a strong plus. You will play a key role in driving architecture decisions, mentoring developers, and ensuring best practices in backend engineering and cloud-native design.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance, scalable Java-based applications.
Architect and implement microservices using Spring Boot and integrate them within a distributed environment.
Manage and optimize backend databases (RDS, SQL, PostgreSQL) for reliability and performance.
Implement and manage real-time streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to design and deploy applications on AWS.
Ensure system security, scalability, and maintainability following modern design patterns.
Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize system performance.
Work with data processing frameworks like Apache Flink (preferred).
Contribute to incorporating AI/ML-based solutions into existing architectures (nice-to-have).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in backend development using Java and related frameworks.
Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot microservices.
Proficient in AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.
Experience working with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems.
Deep understanding of RDS, SQL, and PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven experience in leading teams and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Apache Flink or similar stream processing frameworks.
Exposure to AI/ML model integration in backend systems.
Familiarity with modern data processing and analytics pipelines.
AWS certification (Developer or Solutions Architect) is a plus.
