Job Details

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Sandston, VA 23150 (All 5 days in office)
Position 1: Day (7A-330P) Sun-Thu)
Position 2: Night (3P-130A) Wed-Sat)
Position 3: Night (3P-130A/Sun-Wed)

Job Responsibilities: Coordinate with vendors/suppliers (QTS, Digital Realty, Data Bank) for power and cabling; define and procure copper and fiber Work internally with network and deployment teams on connectivity requirements Full cabinet deployments Installation, maintenance, and support of data center infrastructure (structured cabling, servers, networking hardware) Removal of decommissioned assets and cable cleanup Maintain inventory and update asset management database Adhere to proper cabling and labeling standards.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Installation, removal, and maintenance of servers, cabling, and networking equipment.
  • Experience with fiber optic technologies and structured cabling (including testing and remediation)
  • Ability to diagnose faulty hardware components and Layer 1 connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of data center rack power and connectivity requirements.
  • Knowledge of day-to-day operational support of enterprise data centers
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
  • Physical ability to lift and move approximately 50 lbs

Flex Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Use of ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure management tools (DCIM, CMDB)
