Job Summary

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Commerce for the implementation and on-going support of a new commerce platform. The ideal candidate is a senior level engineer with demonstrated experience implementing SFCC with and integration points as part of a large enterprise solution. The engineer will be a commerce subject matter expert and will participate in technical design, development and testing of the solution, collaborating with multiple partners and service providers. In addition to the SFCC technical skillset, strong communication and a positive approach to working in a highly matrixed environment is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
  • Leverage Commerce expertise to act as technical architect and hands-on Salesforce engineer
  • Deliver technical solutions with focus on security, authentication, scalability and performance
  • Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions
  • Serve as lead Salesforce developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards and coaching and mentoring team members
  • Review and approve design documents, code reviews, test plans, and deployment plans
Skills/Experience
  • 6+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments
  • At least 3 years of experience design, development, testing, and implementation of Commerce applications including front-end development, payments, order management system(s), and partner fulfillment technologies
  • At least 3 years experience with development workflow including deployment and testing automation
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and follow-through abilities
  • Active Salesforce Developer Certification (B2C Commerce)
Other Qualifications
  • An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative development
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks; solid grasp of newer ECMAScript specifications
  • Previous Hospitality Industry experience
  • Experience with ADA(a11y) Compliance
  • Knowledge of Composable Storefront architecture and Salesforce PWA Kit a plus
  • Experience in building application observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $190,154.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $116,205.00 to $209,169.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
