Job Description

ECS is seeking an AI Integration Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office.

We are seeking an accomplished AI Requirements Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, development, and operational support of AI-enabled platforms and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision, business process analysis, and technical leadership to ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions. This role requires experience modernizing complex IT systems, collaborating with executive stakeholders, and guiding cross-functional teams through full agile lifecycles-from concept and development through production and ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M).

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic planning, requirements definition, and delivery of AI solutions that align with enterprise objectives .
  • Define program vision and roadmap, balancing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, leadership, and customers, translating business needs into actionable requirements and managing expectations.
  • Elicit, document, and validate functional and technical requirements, including AI model integration, data flows, and security constraints.
  • Define and maintain a prioritized product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal development teams to integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, APIs, and automation tools.
  • Lead cross-functional agile teams through sprint planning, execution, testing, and production deployment.
  • Oversee the design and enhancement of workflows, UI/UX improvements, data integrations, and back-end processes.
  • Ensure system quality through user acceptance testing (UAT), performance monitoring, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • Manage ongoing operations, maintenance, and annual release cycles to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance with security requirements.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), such as user satisfaction, adoption rates, and system performance, to inform iterative enhancements.
  • Streamline business processes through automation, analytics, and AI-driven capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for model retraining, rollback, and root-cause analysis.
  • Document incident response procedures for AI model failures and anomalies.


Required Skills

  • ship with an ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (EOD)
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, managing technical or strategic teams.
  • Ten+ years of e xperience in cybersecurity, specifically in translating high-level strategy into tangible, actionable products.
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with a track record of successfully collaborating with diverse.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring to track program effectiveness.


Desired Skills

  • DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Familiarity with the operations and mission of CISA, JCDC, or other federal cybersecurity organizations.
  • Experience in a consulting or advisory role, providing guidance and recommendations to external organizations.
  • Knowledge of different communication channels and outreach strategies, including social media, webinars, and partner portals.
  • Experience with data visualization and storytelling to present performance metrics and key insights.
