Job Title: CyberSecurity Operations

Location: Huntsville, AL

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity professional, including within a Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity operations, incident response, and threat intelligence
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and Diamond Model

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily operations of contractor security staff
• Implement and suggest controls to address security infrastructure gaps
• Ensure high-quality, timely reporting from the SOC team
• Promote best practices in incident response, SOC operations, and knowledge management
• Act as SME across various cybersecurity domains and tools
• Create job descriptions and manage performance plans for new roles
• Foster inter-team collaboration and trust with stakeholders
• Stay up to date on emerging cyber threats and solutions
• Mentor and support junior staff
• Continuously improve SOC capabilities and operations

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Certifications (any of the following preferred):
• GIAC GMON, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GCTD, GCFR
• CISSP Certification
• Additional Experience:
• 6+ years managing or supervising teams
• 8+ years in intrusion detection or incident response
• Microsoft Sentinel experience
• Experience with FBI, DHS, IC, or DoD networks
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security (Azure, AWS, O365)
• Hands-on with configuring and managing firewalls, routers, and other cybersecurity appliances
