Job Description
The Sr./Lead Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in guiding complex technical projects and mentoring a team of engineers. This individual will architect, design, configure, and implement advanced network and infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. The position is ideal for someone passionate about solving sophisticated technical challenges and delivering high-performance, scalable solutions.
In this role, the engineer will collaborate closely with Solution Architects on Pre-Sales Engineering engagements, contributing to solution design and ensuring seamless project execution. They will also act as a senior escalation point for advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and engineering support. - Lead projects and provide coaching and mentorship to the engineering team
- Design, configure, and implement complex on-prem and cloud-based solutions
- Collaborate with Solution Architects as part of Pre-Sales Engineering efforts
- Design, configure, and deploy technologies such as NAC, firewalls, network switches, WLAN, and server/storage systems
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced engineering support, providing expert-level troubleshooting and analysis
- Document system designs, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, and industry best practices
- Maintain existing certifications and pursue additional certifications required for partner compliance
- Provide subject matter expertise on emerging technologies and solutions
- One expert-level certification (Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, Aruba ACSX) or two or more cross-vendor professional-level certifications (Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP, Aruba ACSP)
- 5+ years of experience with Route/Switch and EVPN/VXLAN experience
- 5+ years of experience in systems or network engineering with leadership/project ownership
- Strong problem-solving skills with complex networking and systems
- Proven leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong documentation and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in professional services or consulting environments
- Familiarity with cloud networking architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Additional vendor certifications (Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Experience with automation tools or scripting languages
- Background supporting enterprise or multi-site network environments
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
