Salary: $22.00 USD Hourly - $25.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Optical Laser Technician
We're seeking a skilled Laser Technician with hands-on experience in optical systems and laser alignment to support advanced hardware development and testing. This role involves working with high-powered laser systems, precision instruments, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Calibrate and perform functional testing on complex optical and electro-mechanical systems.
    • Align laser resonators and frequency conversion crystals with precision.
    • Disassemble and reassemble laser systems to the component level.
    • Inspect and clean optical components including mirrors, beamsplitters, waveplates, and crystals.
    • Conduct burn-in and calibration tests; validate hardware using measurement tools (oscilloscopes, CCD cameras, multimeters).
    • Document engineering processes and test results; present findings to technical teams.
    • Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot fielded systems and recommend corrective actions.
    • Support domestic and international travel for system deployment and maintenance.
    • Lift and handle equipment up to 40 lbs as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2+ years of experience in optics or laser systems.
    • Proficiency in laser alignment and optical system assembly.
    • Familiarity with lab tools and cleanroom protocols.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g., root cause analysis, SPC).
    • Experience with measurement tools and basic engineering documentation.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
