Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Oracle Developer with over 12 years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development, performance tuning, and enterprise-scale data integration. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, data modeling, performance optimization, and be capable of leading initiatives across the full SDLC. This role demands a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership for mission-critical systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development, and implementation of complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions.

  • Optimize and tune large-scale queries and database objects for high performance.

  • Architect and implement scalable database solutions to support large-volume transactional systems.

  • Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, TKPROF, and Explain Plans.

  • Design and maintain materialized views, indexes, partitions, and database triggers.

  • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Lead code reviews, enforce best practices in SQL and PL/SQL, and mentor junior developers.

  • Manage and maintain data pipelines and batch jobs for ETL using Oracle tools or custom shell/SQL scripting.

  • Create and maintain documentation for design, architecture, and development standards.

  • Support and troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

  • Handle data migration and integration across Oracle and non-Oracle systems.


Required Skills & Expertise:

  • 12+ years of strong experience in Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) development.

  • Deep expertise in PL/SQL, including advanced concepts like bulk collect, forall, ref cursors, pipelined functions.

  • Strong experience with performance tuning and query optimization.

  • Experience in database design and data modeling (3NF, star/snowflake schema).

  • Hands-on experience in working with large, complex datasets and data warehousing environments.

  • Skilled in using Oracle Utilities: Data Pump, SQL*Loader, RMAN, OEM, AWR/ASH.

  • Expertise in developing ETL workflows, working with external tables, and handling high-volume data processing.

  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, job schedulers (e.g., Autosys, Control-M, or Cron).

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, version control systems (Git, SVN), and DevOps practices.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.

  • Familiarity with Oracle APEX, Forms/Reports, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE) is a plus.

  • Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, ODI) or messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) is an advantage.

  • Experience in leading database modernization or migration projects (on-prem to cloud or cross-platform).
