Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Supervisor - Infrastructure to oversee and manage our organization's IT operations in Birmingham, Alabama. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of directing infrastructure activities, ensuring network security, and supporting both strategic and day-to-day IT functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network management, system administration, and team supervision, with a focus on delivering reliable and secure technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily IT operations, including workflow analysis, task prioritization, and setting performance standards.
Manage the procurement of IT equipment and ensure proper implementation of backup, security, and user support systems.
Coordinate and direct activities related to information systems, system analysis, and computer programming.
Design and implement robust security measures to protect networks and data, responding to breaches when necessary.
Supervise the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and internet systems to ensure optimal performance.
Develop and manage network specifications, including design activities, equipment prototypes, and training sessions.
Collaborate with IT security personnel to analyze risks, enforce security protocols, and monitor data file access.
Plan and oversee IT projects, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to current technology solutions to align with organizational goals.
Provide leadership and guidance to IT staff, ensuring efficient problem-solving and collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience managing Microsoft-based networks, including deployment, architecture, and monitoring.
Proven expertise with server platforms, network protocols, and enterprise storage technologies.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, VMware, and cloud technologies.
Strong knowledge of security controls, firewalls, and network design, including experience with Palo Alto and Meraki.
Demonstrated ability to manage geographically dispersed IT infrastructure and coordinate with service providers.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, including team management and project oversight.
Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Admin Expert, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Azure Admin Associate.
