About Marquee
Marquee is the digital storefront of Goldman Sachs' Global Banking and Markets Division. We serve internal and external institutional clients, providing tools and resources for pre-trade, trade, and post-trade activities, including data, research, analytics, pricing, backtesting, execution, and more.
About the Role:
As a Marquee Portfolio Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining a cutting-edge platform that empowers users to analyze portfolio performance and risk, conduct optimizations and backtesting, and create custom products. You'll deliver this through Python libraries, user interfaces (UI), and application programming interfaces (APIs). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact platform used by a sophisticated clientele across the globe.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and maintain performant, scalable and reliable full stack software.
- Build, deploy and maintain APIs and user interfaces for internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including sales and product to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and maintenance.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing methodologies and processes in terms of performance, usability and resiliency.
- Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform stability.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of Javascript, Python and/or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple stakeholders and work as part of a global team.
- Experience designing scalable and reliable systems, with a focus on APIs / modularity and user experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience building and maintaining Full Stack applications in production environment.
- Experience writing asynchronous Java code in frameworks like Vert.x
- Experience with modern UI frameworks like React or Angular.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with lean methodologies, including Scrum and SRE practices/frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management.
