The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support project demands is expected.

Job Title: Customer Identity Senior Operations Engineer

The Customer Identity Senior Operations Engineer at Arvest is responsible for the seamless deployment, onboarding, and maintenance of critical customer identity and access management (CIAM) functionalities. Championing DevOps principles, they drive automation, proactively monitor the environment, resolve incidents, and ensure the security and integrity of user identity data. They collaborate with development teams, influence and enforce security policies, and provide essential support and guidance related to the CIAM environment. The Senior Operations Engineer recognizes familiar patterns when engaging in CIAM incidents and problems. They may mentor more junior team members in CIAM technologies or organization processes.

What You'll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Critique and follow runbooks used to deploy new CIAM functionality and components into test and production environments.
Onboard new applications and customer populations into the CIAM environment.
Pioneer the team's adoption of DevOps disciplines and tools to automate deployment and testing processes.
Handle the most complex production incidents with due care and a focus on the restoration of service.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on incidents and problems.
Monitor the environment for failed connections or transactions and troubleshooting issues to ensure customer identity data is accurately maintained.
Monitor user activity for potential security breaches or violations of access policies.
Partner with CIAM developers to build and enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting automations and dashboards.
Influence and enforce identity and access management policies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform periodic reviews of user access and system permissions by creating reports or assessing administrative console configurations.
Resolve access-related issues and support customers and internal teams regarding CIAM-related inquiries.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, manage route tables on servers, and submit precise requests to the firewall team for implementation.
Document and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or management as needed.
Develop and refine CIAM processes and procedures.
Provide subject matter expertise on tools and technologies that can enhance the CIAM function.
Develop and deliver training materials related to CIAM best practices.
Raise awareness of CIAM policies and procedures among associates and customers by constantly advocating for CIAM in meetings and communications.
Mentor other team members in CIAM technology and organization processes.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Responsibilities:

Toolbox for Success:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field of study, or equivalent work or military experience.
5 or more years of experience in an IT operations or support organization, building skills in the areas listed below.
Command of identity and access management principles and best practices.
Hands-on experience with common authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., SSO, MFA, LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, FIDO).
Experienced in configuration and usage of development and deployment pipeline automation tools (e.g., GitLab, Terraform)
System administration skills, especially on Red Hat Linux
General IT troubleshooting and root cause analysis (application, system, network, database)
Configuration and usage of observability tools, such as Splunk (OTEL, Synthetics, OnCall, etc.), Cribl, ElasticSearch, application and system logs
Reporting tools, such as Tableau, Grafana and BigQuery
Basic programming skills (with a focus on Python, JavaScript, CSS, and/or HTML)
Conversant in concepts and vocabulary of full-stack development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, even leading workgroup mini-projects.
Advanced knowledge of identity-related concepts and threats. Basic knowledge of broader cybersecurity concepts and threats
Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Preferred:
Certifications such as IDPro, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Associate, or similar are a plus.
