Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a Contract-to-Ongoing opportunity, with the potential for long-term placement after six months. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network and systems management and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Manage and configure Cisco routers and switches to ensure optimal network performance.
Administer and monitor Palo Alto firewalls to maintain robust security protocols.
Oversee the operation of Cisco ASA devices, ensuring secure and reliable network access.
Implement and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to optimize network routing.
Conduct regular maintenance and updates of Cisco networking systems.
Collaborate with team members to analyze and resolve network-related issues efficiently.
Provide technical support and guidance for network infrastructure improvements.
Document network configurations and changes to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades to enhance system capabilities and security.
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for network operations.
Requirements
Proven experience with Cisco routers and networking systems.
Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA devices.
Solid understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and its applications.
Strong background in configuring and troubleshooting network systems.
Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in network security.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
