Flight Engineering Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Flight Engineering Manager (Level K) to support the Loads and Dynamics team in Flight Sciences. This position is based in Everett, Washington.

The Loads and Dynamics team supports the entire airplane life cycle, from initial concept through retirement of the last airplane in our customers' fleets. As a manager, you will lead challenging technical work across multiple programs, driving technical excellence through strong communication and proactive leadership in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with teams to develop strategies, make informed decisions, and improve engineering processes, while supporting the professional growth of Loads and Dynamics Engineers. Additionally, you will challenge existing practices and work with others to implement better solutions that enhance flight engineering performance.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering, External Loads and Dynamics.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Develops both the individuals and the team through multiple engagement mechanisms.
  • Supports the advancement of Loads and Dynamics discipline core competencies and technical excellence
  • Facilitates and promotes collaboration and sharing of knowledge, best practices, and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in leading or managing an engineering team.
  • 5+ years of experience within flight engineering fields.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team in flight engineering fields.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in aerospace engineering design concepts process and techniques.

Summary Pay Range: $136,850 - $185,150
