Position Type:
- Contract
- On-Site
- 3 to 5 years experience preferred in freight forwarding, seed, manufacturing, or agriculture business.
- Experience with SAP ERP system preferred.
- Education:
- Minimum of High school diploma or GED is required.
- Some college with a degree in logistics, finance or comparable is preferred.
- Perform office administration, including support, as needed.
- Understanding or ability to learn government regulations (import or export), process management, in data driven environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
- Highly proficient in Excel in ERP system setting.
- Highly detail oriented with skills with focus on regulations and government requirements.
- Proactive with experience managing multiple priorities, often under deadlines and in a high stress environment.
- Deliver a high level of service across a high volume of transactions Identify, research and resolve issues involving data processing errors
- Strong analytical skills, work ethic, independence, effective communication skills, and overall positive attitude.
- Ability to drive results and demonstrate proactivity and flexibility within the supply chain.
- Preferred Skills:
- Compile and calculate inbound and outbound freight rates and other charges from carriers for U.S. and International transportation services under the supervision of the Traffic Team Lead.
- Review freight bills for accuracy.
- Code bills with the appropriate account and department number and forward to Traffic Team Lead for approval.
- Through established procedures and guidelines, prepare accurate and timely export and import documentation in accordance with customer service, country and financial requirements.
- Review all documents, correct records and adjust errors where applicable.
- Maintain organized files while shipments are in various stages of process and manage records retention process per company and government guidelines.
- Responsible for the documentation and submission of Phytosanitary certificates as applicable to all countries.
- Accurate and timely information working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to ship vegetable seeds and other products out of North America.
- Communication and tracking of information, verifying information before communication, and following up with proactive actions to mitigate issues that arise.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and tasks happening at once, prioritizing to meet deadlines.
- Critically review regulations and be able to apply them and show proof and reason of how and why they apply.
- Must be able to be proactive in autonomy and decision making within a matrixed organization.
