The Electronics Design Engineer provides engineering and technical support in developing new avionics and electronic systems. Responsibilities include designing and laying out printed circuit boards (PCBs) from schematics, creating and maintaining component libraries, and preparing all design documentation. The role involves supporting production and testing, troubleshooting circuit board designs, and collaborating across teams to ensure manufacturability and performance standards are met. Compensation: $63,000 $90,000 Overview As an Electrical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge avionics products. This position involves PCB layout from schematics, managing component libraries, and ensuring design documentation meets industry standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and layout printed circuit boards from electrical schematics.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical requirements to meet product specifications.
  • Create and maintain component libraries and associated symbology.
  • Complete documentation and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Support production facilities in manufacturing and testing.
  • Evaluate and qualify component packages, including research and testing.
  • Develop PCB layout standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
Qualifications
  • Technical degree in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of PCB design/layout experience.
  • Proficiency with PCB layout software (PADS preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
  • High-speed and high-power PCB layout experience.
