Job Details
Role: A/V Support Technician
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Job Summary:
The IS&T Audio Visual (A/V) support technician role will be responsible for implementation and support of video conferencing and conference room audio/visual solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform conference room health checks to ensure audio visual and video conferencing systems are operating at optimal conditions
- Resolve and track support requests and incidents, escalate issues to proper support teams
- Support A/V upgrades and installations
- Facilitate A/V vendor activities
- Support and troubleshoot Apple devices (Apple TVs, iPads, MacBooks, iMacs)
- Track and document A/V inventory
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting QSC DSPS
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting Shure 910/920 microphones
- Experience troubleshooting Planar video walls.
Key Qualifications:
- Good understanding of video conferencing and AV switching and control hardware (Cisco, Crestron, Extron preferred)
- Good understanding of network technologies and security concepts
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Able to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and complete tasks on time
- Able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels (staff to executive)
- Able to quickly adapt to new technical concepts and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Experience and Education:
- 3+ years related experience
- Certified A/V Technician preferred
