Job Title: COBOL Mainframe Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled COBOL Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe utilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe-based applications that support critical business processes. This role also involves working closely with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure efficient and reliable system operations aligned with IT Service Management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and implement applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 on IBM Mainframe environments.
- Perform system analysis, debugging, and maintenance of existing mainframe programs and batch jobs.
- Develop and modify stored procedures, SQL queries, and DB2 database components.
- Participate in change management and incident management processes following ITIL/ITSM standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and IBM Mainframe Utilities.
- Knowledge of file handling, subprograms, CICS (optional), and batch job control.
- Experience with performance tuning, SQL optimization, and error debugging.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
