About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AirWatch MDM Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise mobile device management (MDM) environment. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in VMware Workspace ONE (AirWatch), strong knowledge of mobile security and compliance, and a forwardlooking mindset toward cloudnative endpoint management.
Key Responsibilities
•     Manage, maintain, and support the existing VMware Workspace ONE (AirWatch) MDM infrastructure.
•     Ensure mobile device security, compliance, and operational reliability across the enterprise.
•     Collaborate with the Endpoint Engineering Team on the strategic planning and execution of a future migration to Microsoft Intune.
•     Provide onsite support across multiple Metropolitan Council locations within the 7county metro area.
•     Troubleshoot, optimize, and document MDM configurations, policies, and processes.
•     Contribute to modernization initiatives and best practices for enterprise mobility management.
Required Qualifications
•     Extensive handson experience with AirWatch / VMware Workspace ONE.
•     Strong understanding of mobile security, compliance frameworks, and device lifecycle management.
•     Experience supporting large, distributed enterprise environments.
•     Ability to work onsite across multiple locations as needed.
•     Strong communication, documentation, and problemsolving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•     Experience with Microsoft Intune or other cloudnative endpoint management platforms.
•     Background in enterprise mobility strategy, modernization, or migration projects.
•     Familiarity with Windows, iOS, and Android enterprise management.
