RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Ramsey, NJ that is seeking a talented and experienced Data Cloud Architect to join their growing Emerging Technologies team.
Summary:
As a Data Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud technologies, data engineering, and architecture design. This role will be instrumental in continuing to build and grow our data platform in order to enable the achievement of key business results.
Responsibilities:
* Data Cloud Architect will design and implement end-to-end cloud data architecture solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategies, data models, and integration processes
* Lead the migration of on-premise data systems to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption, and seamless transition
* Build and maintain cloud data pipelines for large-scale data processing, storage, and analytics
* Develop data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
* Optimize cloud storage and data processing solutions for performance and cost-effectiveness
* Work with engineering teams to implement best practices for data integration and data flow across cloud environments
* Define data security policies, authentication, and authorization mechanisms for cloud-based platforms
* As a Data Cloud Architect, you will provide guidance on cloud data technologies, data modeling, and data management best practices
* Conduct research and document cloud data architecture strategies and designs
* Set-up and maintain monitoring and logging systems to track application performance, troubleshoot, and identify issues
* Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and data architecture trends
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
* 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years working with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure)
Preferred:
* Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect)
* Strong experience in designing and implementing scalable data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines
* Experience in cloud security, compliance, and data governance
* Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure tools and technologies (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker)
* Experience designing and architecting scalable data systems that leverage a hybrid approach of batch processing and real-time data streaming
* Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging mechanisms for proactive system health checks
* Experience with serverless data architectures and microservices
* Strong understanding of Open-Source tooling and their applications within the data ecosystem
* Familiarity with machine learning and AI data processing frameworks
* Familiarity with Airflow for robust workflow orchestration and scheduling
* Strong understanding of data warehousing, big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and real-time data processing
* Proficiency in cloud data services such as Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and cloud data lakes
* Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, and Java
* Adept at utilizing Google Cloud Functions for serverless computing and building RESTful APIs for seamless data integration
* Proficient in working with the Command Line Interface (CLI) for efficient system administration
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data architecture concepts to non-technical stakeholders
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
