Job Details
Responsibilities
- Optimize and maintain ETL pipelines to support data science, analytics, product, and machine learning teams
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and best practices
- Develop scalable data infrastructure using Spark, dbt, AWS, and Terraform
- Build and support data lake/lakehouse and data warehouse solutions (Redshift or Snowflake preferred)
- Lead data integration efforts using tools such as Airbyte, Stitch, and Airflow
- Own and enhance streaming data systems leveraging platforms like Kinesis and Firehose
- Drive architectural decisions and thoughtfully balance trade-offs in system design
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data initiatives align with company strategy
- Champion high standards in data quality, security, and discoverability
- Translate complex technical challenges into clear solutions for non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8-10 years of engineering experience preferably in SaaS or tech-driven organization.
- Required: Experience with Spark, DBT, Terraform, & AWS
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Expertise with data warehouses and modern data lake architectures.
- Experience with orchestration and workflow tools like Airflow
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team-wide improvement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Passionate about SaaS and genuine interest in the bio-tech / healthcare space

- MLOps experience
- Snowflake (nice-to-have) and Kinesis
