Position Overview

The Senior Data Engineer plays a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that drive comprehensive reporting, analytics, and operational insights across the enterprise. This position emphasizes Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, and end-to-end ETL processes to ensure data is captured, transformed, and delivered at scale.

Beyond hands-on engineering, the Senior Data Engineer will provide technical guidance and best-practices while partnering with internal resources and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions are robust, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other ETL frameworks.
  • Transform raw data into curated datasets optimized for analytics and reporting.
  • Build reusable workflows to support both batch and near-real-time processing.
  • Architect solutions leveraging Azure Analysis Services to enable advanced reporting and data exploration.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across reporting platforms including Power BI.
  • Establish and enforce standards for data quality, normalization, and lineage.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Evaluate system changes, test new software, and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging for complex ETL and data warehousing issues.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years within data administration, ETL development, and/or data engineering.
  • Experience with cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Integration Services (SSIS), and/or Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with ODBC connections, SQL clustering, scripting, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB, and data modeling best practices.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multinational, and Agile driven environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, partners, and business stakeholders.

  • Target Compensation Range: $120k - $130k, though flexible based on skills and experience
