Job Description:

Vaxcom Services LLC (A Parsons Company) is looking for an amazingly talented Network/Systems Engineer to support dynamic, challenging, and evolving mission requirements as a member of the Program's Compliance and Automation Team (CAT). A positive attitude with outstanding work ethic and attention to detail is critical to success in this position.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Will apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, including contributing to the development of innovative ideas.
  • Must be able to work independently in an extremely fast paced environment in support of a high priority, evolving, and expanding Program
  • Will possess expert understanding of subject matter, specifically with SQL.
  • Must be a strong team player with exceptional customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Must be able to gather requirements, communicate solutions, and remain actively engaged with the Program Office throughout the life of the project and associated tasks.
  • Will represent the Program Office in interagency working groups.
  • Will respond to ad hoc needs and take lead for identifying and developing necessary response strategies created for long range plans and objectives.
  • Will maintain authoritative records of software/firmware certification dates, compliance requirement dates, test start and end dates, customer release dates, overall pass/fail results for each release version.
  • Will identify system integration opportunities and authoritative source recommendations of disparate datasets that provide efficiencies in systems development lifecycle.
  • Will use experience in the full systems development life cycle processes, workflow, documentation, data collection, data analysis and reporting.
  • Will track and maintain configuration management plans and document system changes.
  • Will maintain Customer-facing intranet site and content
  • Will use networking engineering experience to assist in meeting Program goals and objectives.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 5 years equivalent experience as a Network or Systems Engineer.
  • Ability to qualify for overseas travel through the medical screening program.
  • Previous experience providing briefings to large and small audiences with varying levels of expertise and technical acumen.
  • Experience in systems development lifecycle support and processes, workflow, documentation, data collection, data-driven analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in application and database design and/or support; Apache, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and PLSQL.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolution; hardware, operating system, network, application, database, system-wide.
  • Experience in configuring, repairing, testing and providing limited maintenance on specialized technical equipment.
  • Experience in the use and development of system and asset documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, technical guides, test and compliance, configuration management.
  • Must possess (at the time of application) a current/active TOP SECRET security clearance with FULL SCOPE polygraph.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Advanced Degree in STEM related field.
  • Experience with Program Office's Cryptographic network.
  • Active participant on various IC and DoD Cryptographic technology working groups.
  • Experience and understanding of COMSEC equipment maintenance, device upgrades, and configuration management.
  • Experience and/or understanding of systems development lifecycle management and processes; planning, analysis design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Experience and/or understanding of national-level authoritative COMSEC policies, procedures, and material control; accountability, reporting, distribution, and operational security doctrine.
  • Previous experience working on IC or DoD cryptographic networks and technologies.
  • Previous experience as a cryptographic custodian, utilizing CARDS and/or iApp databases.
  • Experience in Network Engineering including network devices, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Experience working with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols like OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Experience in writing and optimizing database queries.
  • Certification in computer networking such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cicsco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or CompTIA Network+.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
