Information Systems Engineer Analyst - Level 1
What You Will Be Doing
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time, early-career Information Systems Engineer Analyst to support our F-35 Logistics Information Systems (LIS) program. In this role, you'll help build, install, configure, and deliver critical LIS hardware and software-including servers and laptops-to F-35 customers around the world. Your work will directly support mission readiness for U.S. and international military partners by ensuring their systems are secure, reliable, and fully operational.
This is a great opportunity for a technically curious and motivated early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in both system administration and customer support in a high-impact aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure LIS components, including servers and laptops, for F-35 domestic and international customers.
- Install and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Perform backups and restores of physical and virtual server environments.
- Apply application and system patches, security updates, and configuration changes as needed.
- Support network and cybersecurity requirements in alignment with program standards.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assist with documentation and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system deliveries and deployments.

You are a self-starter with a strong foundation in information systems and a desire to grow your technical skills in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. You have a basic understanding of system administration (Windows/Linux), a problem-solving mindset, and an eagerness to support critical operations with real-world impact. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you're ready to take on challenges that contribute directly to national defense.
This position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Previous Windows and/Linux server experience (i.e. backups and restores of physical and/or virtual servers and virtual machines)
- At least one year of professional experience
Desired skills
- Able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Systems & software engineering process background
- Hands-on Information Technology and/or Systems Administrator knowledge
- Good Communication & Verbal skills
- Self Starter & the ability to multitask
In addition to the basic requirements above, the successful candidate may have one or more of the following:
Current Security+, CySA+, or CCNA Security certification
Knowledge of and/or experience with system administration, which may include:
o Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) Switch Fabric architecture (e.g., Routing, Fail Over, etc.)
o Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers and virtual machines
o User Account Maintenance (Active Directory)
o Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers
o Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
o Applying operating system updates, anti-viranti-spyware updates, and patch updates
o Experience troubleshooting Web Applications
o JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity
o Understanding of Network Open System Interconnection (OSI) Model Layers
o Knowledge of Networked Attached Storage (NAS) systems and supported protocols

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
