Job Details
Our client, a leader in the insurance sector, seeks a hands-on Manager of Backup and Disaster Recovery to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide backup and DR strategies. This role partners closely with infrastructure, application, security, and compliance teams to ensure systems and data are recoverable within defined RTOs and RPOs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee backup and DR technologies across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Nutanix).
- Evaluate and implement backup/DR solutions and frameworks.
- Guide IT projects on backup/DR best practices and impact assessments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and lifecycle processes.
- Coordinate with vendors to audit and document DR plans.
- Ensure compliance with security and audit standards.
- Define and track SLAs, RTOs, and RPOs.
- Lead DR testing and tabletop exercises.
- Report on KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- 4+ years of experience with backup/DR tools (e.g., Cohesity).
- Strong background in virtualization (Nutanix), cloud (AWS, Azure), and storage (NetApp, SAN/NAS).
- Proficiency in Windows, O365, MS SQL, Active Directory.
- Familiarity with enterprise networking (Palo Alto, VPCs, MPLS, SD-WAN).
- 2+ years working with ITIL processes (preferably in ServiceNow).
- Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, CloudFormation).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
