About the Role:

As a Mass Properties Engineer III, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and testing of advanced aerospace systems. You'll be responsible for developing aircraft weight and balance estimates, supporting flight test activities, and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain aircraft weight and balance estimates for large transport aircraft.
  • Generate ballast plans and flight clearances for flight test operations.
  • Perform mass properties analysis throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to meet design and performance goals.
  • Support aircraft weighing and verification processes.
  • Prepare and manage aircraft weight and balance documentation (Chart A, B, C, E, Form F).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with weight and balance analysis and verification.
  • Familiarity with Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS).
  • Exposure to aircraft weighing and related documentation.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
  • Background in aerospace and defense, including DoD or military programs.
  • Knowledge of parametric design, model-based definition, and mass properties engineering.
  • Experience generating ballast plans for flight testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
