RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Dev Engineer 2 in Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities:
* In this role, the Software Dev Engineer will be creating windows services written
* Developing windows solutions, including deep diving into troubleshooting/debugging internally developed code (written in Golang, and Python)
* Direct feature development - enhance the functionality of existing systems, increase our ability to scale and contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle
* Working alongside other engineers on development of software, the Software Dev Engineer will be updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems
REQUIREMENTS:
* Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 6-12 years of relevant experience is required
* Golang and Python experience preferred
* Language experience and knowledge of event logging
* Experience developing services for Windows including Windows Event Logging, Windows registry, WMI, Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) and Windows file system
* Windows kernel expertise, UNIX/LINUX
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
