We have an immediate opening with a leading financial services client in New York City for a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in enterprise-level development, particularly within market data, trading, or investment banking environments.
In this role, you will collaborate directly with trading, quantitative, compliance, risk, and IT teams to develop and enhance market data capabilities leveraging modern technologies, including Java (JDK 11/17), Spring Boot, Apache Camel, REST APIs, and more. Your expertise in designing high-performance, scalable solutions will be key, and you will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Over 8 years of core Java experience in enterprise settings
- Strong background with Spring Boot, Apache Camel, REST API, JMS (Active MQ)
- Proven experience working with MS SQL Server/Sybase
- Knowledge of low-latency trading systems and asynchronous programming (preferred)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka (plus)
