Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data migration plans for legacy-to-new data transfers.

  • Coordinate with vendors, providers, associations, and other agencies.

  • Monitor and analyze performance data, recommend solutions, and implement optimizations.

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.

  • Document and develop database operational procedures.

  • Contribute to project planning, including effort estimation and resource allocation.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)

  • Proven enterprise-level SQL DBA experience in Linux/Windows environments.

  • Experience with Data Guard.

  • Strong background supporting development teams building web-based solutions.

  • Knowledge of database scalability, operations, and best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with IT development and implementation projects.

  • Strong project planning skills (effort estimation, resource allocation).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

  • High integrity and confidence to make critical decisions under visibility.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager.

  • Healthcare IT experience, particularly handling PHI/PII data.

  • Experience with data and traffic encryption.

  • Vendor management background.

  • Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) knowledge.

  • Medicaid operations or public sector experience.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in a technical, business, or related field (required).

  • Master s degree (preferred).

  • SQL training/certification from a recognized provider (beneficial).

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be a current South Carolina resident (no relocation/nationwide applicants).

  • Strong communication skills are essential. Candidates unable to articulate technical knowledge clearly will not be successful.

Submission Notes for Recruiters

  • Include SC Cover Sheet, Right to Represent, and full legal name on the resume.

  • Withdrawn candidates cannot be replaced.

  • Sub-vendor use permitted only one level deep (submit Sub-Vendor form if applicable).
