IT Manager

We're looking for a hands-on IT Manager to take ownership of our clients' technology environment and help drive the next phase of growth for a fast-moving, trading-focused business. This role will be the most senior IT position below the CTO, and will play a critical part in ensuring infrastructure, security, and systems scale effectively with the business.

This role will be the most senior IT position below the CTO, and will play a critical part in ensuring infrastructure, security, and systems scale effectively with the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize Microsoft Azure cloud environment, from virtual machines to networking
- Manage SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability
- Take a leadership role in network administration and information security - from firewalls to policy enforcement
- Use Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis
- Partner directly with traders and business stakeholders to align IT solutions with front-office needs
- Provide mentorship and direction to a small IT team, with potential for people management responsibility right away
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of broad IT experience across infrastructure, security, networking, and database management
- Strong background in the Microsoft stack, particularly Azure and SQL Server
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's is a plus)
- Comfortable in smaller, fast-paced environments where you're responsible for multiple domains
- (Nice to have) Experience supporting trading, financial services, or energy markets
