Clojure Developer - Functional Programming & Serverless Architecture

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $73.33/hr.

We're looking for a Application Developer with deep experience in Clojure and other functional languages, who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys building scalable, high-quality applications using AWS serverless technologies, Python, and TypeScript.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain core applications using Clojure, Python, TypeScript, and AWS services.
- Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure robust, maintainable code.
- Build and support serverless applications using AWS Lambda, SQS, Step Functions, and more.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot live system issues.
- Lead small projects and contribute meaningfully to larger initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience with Clojure or other functional languages (e.g., Scala, Haskell, Elixir, Common Lisp, Julia).
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React.js.
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
- Experience with AWS serverless architecture and cloud-native development.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with software design patterns and full-stack development.
Bonus Points For
- Prior experience in FinTech or similar domains.
- Hands-on experience integrating AWS serverless frameworks using Python Lambda functions.
