Job Details

VetsEZ is seeking a Solution Architect to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project with modernization and integration initiatives for enterprise systems. This role will lead technical design, guide implementation teams, and ensure alignment with architectural standards, preferred technologies, and business objectives.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide architectural leadership for product development, maintenance, and modernization.

  • Design scalable and reliable solutions across cloud, network, and infrastructure environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, analysts, project managers) to ensure solution alignment.

  • Guide hands-on configuration and development efforts to support implementation.

  • Create technical documentation, including architectural and boundary diagrams.

  • Analyze interactions between legacy and modern systems and assess solution impact.

  • Support incident response and lifecycle management for infrastructure services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Broad technical expertise in: Cloud (AWS/Azure), Network/infrastructure architecture, DevOps/Agile development, Software engineering and system integration.
  • Experience with Data management and API architecture
  • Experience creating innovative, scalable solutions within an enterprise environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with VA, federal agencies, or healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, EDI).
  • Background in SaaS implementation and software development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain government clearance.
