Job Summary

As a Bank Business Analyst your general role will be to help build the technology responsible for our core services.

In this role, as a Business Systems Analyst, Senior level, you will play a key role in mentoring the less experienced associates within the Experience Digital Online Banking Application Implementation team, advising them by using advanced knowledge of the Experience Digital Online Banking Application product, integrations and client business environments.

You will also be providing your best practice knowledge to clients as a consultative role when defining business solutions during implementations. You will be handling the larger complex projects or multiple small projects, leading business analysis activities during the project cycle. This includes driving internal and client facing discussions for requirements definition for base configurations and customization's of an internet banking platform.

Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

List must-have technical skills with proficiency level (Beginner/Intermediate/Expert):

  • Understanding of banking/financial workflows

  • Core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle)
  • Exposure to digital payments (e.g., Fed Wire, SWIFT)
  • Exposure to ACH Processing and NACHA Guidelines

  • Previous work experience related to internet home banking applications is a plus.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Providing clients with best practice direction for defining solutions.
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy through high quality analysis and documentation.
  • Work with clients, other Bank project team members, and product managers to document detailed requirements that capture our clients needs and meet their expectations.
  • Provide the advanced subject matter expertise in explaining and consulting internally within the project teams and externally with clients.
  • Be a key source of knowledge of product functionality and business processes relating to the Experience Digital Online Banking Application Online Banking and key integrations.
  • Provide consultative best practice direction when discussing solutions with clients.
  • Drive requirements gathering sessions, sometimes onsite, or in project meetings. Work with multi-functional client partners to complete application worksheets and customizations scoping.
  • Collaborate with the client and Bank project engineers to define requirements related to online banking configurations and customizations. This includes scoping solutions, documenting workflows, assisting in developing estimates, and validating solutions.
  • Understand customer s goals and business needs to clearly articulate solution configurations and customization workflows to partners.
  • Understand the prospect s current state; the people, the teams involved as well as the key metrics and technical capabilities of those teams needed. Understand the impact on business unit and/or customers for new solutions. Be able to translate, map, and communicate any known gaps resulting from making the transition from current to future state.
  • Manage UAT cycles, including providing client training, triaging reported issues due to client testing.
  • Travel for Client onsite kick off meetings, support go-live events and other events such as mock conversion rehearsals for larger projects.
  • Review and understand vendor solution technical specifications to extract the relevant technical requirements needed to include in custom requirements documents.

  • Mentor and lead other less experienced colleagues to assist in their development and the development of the Business Analyst team as a whole.
  • Providing input and consultation to process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate and provide input to Product improvement, assisting the Experience Digital Product Management team.

Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory)

  • ECBA / CCBA /CBAP
