Title: Asset Management Analyst General Purpose of Position: Summary of Essential Functions:
Location: 100% remote
Duration: The initial contract is for 12 months (With this client, contracts tend to go indefinitely
Compensation: (50 to $65.00 hourly) Depends on experience
Work Requirements: , Holders or Authorized to Work in the US without the need of sponsorship (Either now or in the future)
The Asset Management Analyst will focus on the fulfillment of IT Software Asset Management processes of our client. The Asset Management Analyst will assist with designing, planning and implementing the IT Asset Management process. They will be involved in the planning and deployment on new asset related Request Items in our clients Service Catalog on the ServiceNow platform. The Analyst role will work in close partnership with fellow members of the Service Asset Lifecycle Team and customers to promote transparency into the process, and ever improving service levels.
- Monitor IT software maintenance activities
- Conduct software vendor licensing research
- Identify and manage contractual risks, including leading responses to software license compliance audits along procurement, legal, security etc ; Compliance management.
- Use data to provide trend analysis and assist with determining potential future licensing needs
- Review entitlement and procurement documents for compliance terms and use rights
- Advise best practices on point solutions for individual software vendors
- Assist with optimizing software spend
- Determine and aid in managing the impact of software licensing
- Manage and track software renewals
- Responsible for maintaining quality control throughout the lifecycle of software
- Managing and maintaining databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organizations software
- Meet with different vendors to lay out expectations and remove roadblocks
- Ensure assets, especially software licenses, are utilized in accordance with their EULA
- Facilitate successful purchases and renewals
- Provide input for continuous improvement and automation
- Aggregate entitlement for governing documents, for agreements, software purchasing, license data, etc.
- Assist the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement managers, software asset managers, and other delegates
- Work with procurement, finance and legal on contract renewals and new purchases.
- Will provide internal and external product support such as assisting with training and coaching
- Will liaison with various groups throughout the Company to ensure service level targets are met, Customer satisfaction remains high, and escalations occur in a timely manner
- Will conduct and/or participate in recurring IT Asset Management meetings with Customer/Teams
- Will assist other Teams as necessary providing statistics, suggestions, and enhancement opportunities.
- Will collaborate with other suppliers on issues/tasks spanning multiple areas
- Will ensure collaboration between requestor, supply chain, and delivery teams
- Will be responsible for Customer Satisfaction throughout the IT Asset Management process
- Will guide all Customers to follow the IT Asset Management process
Qualifications:
- Experience in gathering and analyzing requirements to improve existing processes.
- Experience in Service Management reporting including defining process metrics and KPIs.
- Experience in Asset analysis.
- Experience in analyzing performance data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Asset Management process.
- Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT), including test script creation, execution and signoffs
- Understanding of ServiceNow Platform, the SAM module and troubleshooting inside ServiceNow to quickly identify issues.
Skills / Abilities / Knowledge:
- Extensive experience in developing, engineering and improving IT Asset Management processes. (4-5 years)
- Service Asset and Lifecycle analysis and trending experience. (3-4 years)
- Experience in analyzing performance data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Asset Management. (2-3 years)
- Service Management reporting experience. (2-3 years)
- Extensive use of a Software Asset Management platform. (4-6 years)
- Experience in working in Agile, Scrum and SAFe (2-4 years)
- Demonstrated handling pressure and Customer engagement in critical/difficult circumstances.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (or Higher)
- Asset Management certification (IAITAM, APM, CAMA, ITAMC) preferred
- Proficient in ITIL service management processes, with practical knowledge and experience in the Service Design lifecycle processes.
- Proactively identifies areas for improvement, shares lessons learned with colleagues and encourages others to do the same.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional listening, problem solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong business background (working in a company of similar scale)
- Ability to work in dynamic environment with changing priorities
