We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using modern Java and front-end frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Framework, and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap), with a passion for building scalable, user-friendly software solutions.

Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid On-site 2 days/week: Tuesday & Wednesday)
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Java Developer with strong back-end and front-end development experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining complex computer systems using modern Java technologies and UI frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Create and enhance responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze requirements and implement efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Use IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio for coding and debugging.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices and security standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and system performance optimization.
  • Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning through deployment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be local to Michigan and within 90 minutes of Lansing.
  • Must be able to work onsite 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Must attend in-person interviews (no remote option).
  • Candidates must complete the Pre-Screening Questions and provide a Reference Page with at least two professional references (including name, title, company, relationship, phone, and email).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience developing complex computer systems using Java and IDE tools (Eclipse, JBoss Developer Studio).
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8.
  • 5+ years of experience using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Security).
  • 5+ years of experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Strong understanding of full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
