Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Developer to lead implementation, migration, and optimization projects across multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GA4, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and JavaScript, with the ability to design scalable tracking architectures and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end GA4 implementation and migration from Universal Analytics.
Configure and verify GA4 properties, GTM containers, and event tracking.
Design and deploy custom tracking solutions using GTM and JavaScript.
Develop and maintain data layers across websites and mobile apps.
Define and configure events, parameters, and user properties based on business requirements.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to establish KPIs and tracking strategies.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Create and maintain dashboards and reports using GA4, BigQuery, and Looker Studio.
Troubleshoot and resolve tracking discrepancies or technical issues.
Mentor and support junior analysts/developers on GA4 best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in digital analytics, with 2+ years specifically focused on GA4.
Expert-level proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and JavaScript.
Strong understanding of data layer design and implementation.
Experience working with BigQuery, SQL, and Looker Studio (or similar BI tools).
Familiarity with debugging tools (GA Debugger, Tag Assistant, etc.).
Knowledge of data privacy and governance standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with server-side tagging and marketing cloud integrations.
Exposure to eCommerce tracking, app analytics, and cross-domain tracking.
Prior experience mentoring or leading analytics teams.
