In this role, you ll be the go-to expert for the agency s websites and browser-based applications, combining sharp technical chops with a proactive mindset to ensure systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. From hands-on PHP development in a LAMP/LEMP stack to collaborating across teams on enterprise-wide standards, you ll get the chance to make a tangible impact every day.
What You ll Do

Design, develop, and administer Drupal websites and WordPress blogs, keeping them modern, secure, and performant

Build and maintain custom web and browser applications to support agency programs, using PHP within the LAMP or LEMP stack

Create, manage, and optimize MySQL databases that power dynamic, data-driven websites

Train team members on best practices for Drupal and web management, helping raise the technical bar across the organization

Develop custom themes, modules, and workflows in CMS environments, ensuring intuitive user experiences

Participate in agency-wide workgroups to implement standardized web templates and practices that enhance consistency and maintainability

Create and maintain thorough, clear technical and security documentation

Deliver regular training and guidance to agency staff on in-house web tools

What You Bring to the Table
-
8+ years of experience in each of the following:
-
Using PHP in LAMP/LEMP environments to develop and maintain web applications

Designing, developing, and administering enterprise websites and custom workflows in a CMS (Drupal, WordPress)
-
Developing with popular frameworks and extensions like Laravel, Django, or Symfony
-
Managing Drupal and WordPress sites, including administration, theming, and module management
-
Leveraging HTML, CSS, MySQL, and jQuery for dynamic, modern web applications
-
Working confidently within the Linux operating system and command line interface
-

Solid understanding of system development methodologies, security best practices, programming concepts, and enterprise deployment processes
-
Ability to work with limited supervision, taking initiative to solve problems and deliver results

Clear, concise communication skills for collaborating across departments and documenting complex systems

Python experience within the LAMP/LEMP stack

Building responsive websites with modern front-end techniques, including AJAX for asynchronous web applications

Mastery of JavaScript, Ruby, and Java

Expertise in cross-site scripting and SQL injection prevention

Hands-on experience with search tools like Solr or Drupal Search

Administration using Drush for efficient Drupal management

Familiarity with ticketing systems like Remedy or KACE
