  1. Workday Project Manager
    2-4 years contract 

The HCM project manager may oversee a single project or multiple interdependent projects. Work may include the following tasks:
• Planning, initiation, and execution of large, complex IT and business-related projects
• Draft or assist in the development of program plans, work breakdown structures, or other project artifacts to ensure successful delivery
• Responsible for facilitating the execution of a project by ensuring the quality, completeness, tracking of tasks, deliverables, and project milestones
• Reporting on project status including work completed, issues, improvement opportunities and team morale
• Proper scheduling of resources and time management
• Must work collaborative with team members to ensure resource availability and task completion
• Work closely with vendor project manager(s) to coordinate work of client and vendor resources
• Ability to interact effectively with end users, to understand their use cases and issues. Provide guidance to client teams on the development and completion of deliverables.
• Pro-active customer support, working tirelessly to anticipate end user issues
• Document and manage dependencies related to project
• Facilitate meetings to capture, review and approve requirements
• Execute, monitor, and control the schedule, cost deliverables, risk management and scope to meet or exceed stakeholder and customer expectations.
• Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Create reports and presentations for project status; presents to management and leadership.
• Works across business to resolve elevated issues internally and with the customer, ensuring barriers that could impede project progress are communicated.
• Work with change management resources to ensure effective communication across the project team and assigned stakeholders
• Facilitate communication across the project and cross-functional teams
• Incorporate risk mitigation strategy and contingency plan
• Perform analysis that reflects actual vs. planned variances
• Participate in project closing activities
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• At least 5+ years working with Workday HCM modules
• 10+ years of project management/program management experience
• PMP certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of MS Project Online
• Strong knowledge of project management tools
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC project life cycle
• Experience working with data systems and acting as a liaison between business users and technical staff
• Strong leadership skills including the building of effective teams, an ability to manage conflict, the effective setting of priorities in the team and an ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities, and objectives
• Demonstrated ability to moderate and lead projects and drive decisions
• Ability to prepare technical and strategic issues for management decisions
• Effective strategic, long-term, and planning thought processes
• Strong communication and presentation skills to project team and State leadership
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Vision, SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding and use of document management and version control.
• Ability to execute high quality customer service by anticipating customer needs, providing services accurately, in a respectful and timely manner, and establishing and maintaining effective contact and follow through with customers.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive work relationships.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team member.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and organizational skills.

Requirements:
 • Ability to organize and evaluate data to drive decision making.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and sensitivity to needs and concerns of various cultural groups.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate project risks
• Experience with large public sector customers (another state or large county) is preferred but not mandatory
