The Senior Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure network infrastructure across the enterprise. This role provides technical leadership for major security initiatives, including the rollout of access control technologies, next-generation firewall designs, and secure access solutions. The engineer works closely with peer network and systems teams to ensure a consistent and resilient security posture across all environments.

responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen network access controls and enforce security policy across all locations.
- Design and implement advanced firewall architectures supporting segmentation, inspection, and threat prevention.
- Support secure connectivity solutions for users, applications, and cloud environments in alignment with enterprise standards.
- Evaluate and remediate network vulnerabilities and assist with mitigation of security advisories and CVEs.
- Partner with security, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent deployment of security policies and best practices.
- Participate in policy cleanup, optimization, and lifecycle management of security configurations.
- Contribute to the development of new network security designs supporting business growth and technology modernization.
- Support the organization's secure access edge strategy, ensuring reliable and secure access for all users and services.
- Serve as a technical lead for complex troubleshooting and incident response related to network security events.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers within the team.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in network or network security engineering within large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of network security architecture, firewall technologies, and access control methodologies.
- Proficiency with core network protocols, routing, VPN, and segmentation concepts.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and collaborating across engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and security remediation processes.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP) preferred.
