Overview:


We are seeking a Software Applications Manager to lead the support and evolution of legacy systems while driving strategic improvements across business applications. This role is central to a major transformation initiative, requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external technology partners.


You'll be responsible for documenting current workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization, and helping shape the future-state technology roadmap. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, business insight, and a proven ability to deliver impactful solutions in complex environments.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Analyze and document business processes, rules, and system dependencies across legacy platforms.

  • Collaborate with software vendors to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing applications.

  • Serve as a bridge between leadership and development teams, translating business needs into technical requirements.

  • Oversee application lifecycle management including version control, upgrades, and patching.

  • Evaluate vendor relationships to ensure alignment with cost, quality, and service expectations.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify pain points and implement process improvements.

  • Recommend automation opportunities for manual workflows with minimal investment.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on application systems and emerging technologies.

  • Develop and maintain a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.

  • Lead or support software implementations, integrations, and system optimizations.

  • Establish governance standards for system security, compliance, and performance.

  • Drive change management efforts to support adoption and standardization of new processes.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or a similar leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, data flows, and system architecture.

  • Experience managing external service providers and consulting engagements.

  • Proven track record in ERP implementations, especially in finance and field service domains.

  • Familiarity with CRM, scheduling, routing, and rental or lease operations is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strategic thinker with awareness of emerging technologies and their business applications.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and diplomatic approach.




Technical Skills:



  • Proficiency in SQL and data extraction from relational databases.

  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Oracle Fusion, Acumatica, and Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Ability to create detailed business requirements, process flow diagrams, gap analyses, and test scenarios.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development practices (Scrum, waterfall, DevOps).

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and integration tools (Workato, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
