Job Details

Job Title: Salesforce Administrator
Location: Pittsburgh, PA & Dallas, TX
Employment Type: W2 Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flows.
  • Architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions adhering to Salesforce development best practices.
  • Build and manage complex integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft), and third-party applications.
  • Extend and customize Sales Cloud functionality, particularly around Product and Pricing models, CPQ configuration, and opportunity lifecycle.
  • Conduct unit, system, and integration testing; lead code reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Drive release management, deployment automation (CI/CD), and post-deployment support processes.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions and integrations.
  • Serve as the primary Salesforce Administrator, managing user setup, profiles, roles, permission sets, and security controls.
  • Create and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Develop and optimize Flows, Process Builders, Approval Processes, and Workflow Rules to automate business processes.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity, perform deduplication, and manage large data uploads/migrations using Data Loader or third-party tools.
  • Manage system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks or issues.
  • Stay informed on Salesforce platform updates and release features; implement relevant enhancements in the org.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and provide innovative Salesforce solutions aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience in both development and administration roles.
  • Proven track record in building scalable solutions with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and declarative tools.
  • Deep expertise in Sales Cloud, with experience in CPQ, product catalog, and pricing configurations.
  • Strong understanding of data models, security models, and sharing rules.
  • Experience with integration frameworks, middleware, and external API consumption.
  • Proficient with Salesforce DX, Git, Change Sets, and other deployment tools.
  • Salesforce certifications highly preferred (e.g., Platform Developer I & II, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Application Architect, System Architect).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Prior experience with Community Cloud (Experience Cloud) or Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and admins.
