Job Title: Data Center PM
Duration: 3+ year contract
Rate: $60-$95/hr, dependent on experience
Location: Remote - 10-30% travel required
Design Project Manager II

Remote, with preference for NYC-based candidates
Travel required: 10-30%
Role Overview
The Design Project Manager leads the design process from early campus planning through construction documentation. This includes:
Building and managing cross-functional design teams (internal + external)
Overseeing design services from developer partners
Ensuring alignment between design, procurement, and construction
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate workshops and design reviews
Author and manage scopes of work and contracts
Track project metrics: cost, schedule, scope, progress
Coordinate design with procurement and construction
Lead change management and technical decision-making
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering information
Author scopes of work for contracts and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders
Issue and administer contracts
Define and track deliverables from various parties
Track of cost, schedule, progress and scope
Provide health reporting on cost, schedule, scope and progress
Build optimal design teams from matrixed internal stakeholders and the strategic procurement of external partners
Change management for project scope and design contracts
Facilitate technical decisions in-line with project needs
Ensure the issuance of engineering information to the right party, at the right time, in the right format
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related
Licensure: PE, NCARB, RA preferred (or 15+ years of experience)
Experience:
o 7+ years in design/construction project management
o Data center experience preferred; other acceptable sectors:
Healthcare (hospitals)
High-rise commercial
Labs
Manufacturing (fabs)
High-power facilities (e.g., power plants)
Strong understanding of construction principles and practices
Experience managing and coordinating between teams
Experience in the preparation of project plans, specifications
Experience drafting scopes of work
Experience of government regulations
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
