Position: Quality Technician
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 6 Months +
We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry, or experience in medical devices and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections in accordance with specifications.
- Verify completion of assigned tasks and adherence to work instructions.
- Review drawings and assess physical conditions.
- Perform line inspections, including incoming inspections and inspection of parts to specifications.
- Generate non-conforming reports, detailing failures and measurements as required.
- Assign each part a conformity ticket, ensuring correct identification numbers and traceability to raw materials.
- Collaborate with Inventory/Shipping teams to address any missed parts.
- Capture and report relevant metrics.
- Maintain or execute the calibration program by submitting tickets to suppliers.
- Enter data from tools into various systems.
- Weekly reporting of metrics in team meetings.
- 80% of the time spent on other tasks.
- Utilize IPC certifications (20% of the time).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for investigating failures.
Education Qualification:
- Mid-Level (2+ years exp)
Required Skills:
- Industry experience, preferably in aerospace (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Airforce, FAA).
- Demonstrate ownership of goals and problem-solving capabilities (Bias for action).
- Experience identifying Root Cause in failures.
- Strong written/communication skillset as there is a lot of documentation.
Nice-to-Have:
- IPC 620 standard certification (willing to send for training if they donot have this).
- Familiarity with IPC 610 soldering standards is nice to have.
