What You Will Do:
  • Provides 24x7x365 support as needed.
  • Engineers and administers all aspects of RHEL 7, 8, and 9 servers, including upgrading, patching, troubleshooting, resolving, designing, communicating, analyzing system logs, managing network configurations, storage volumes and configurations, hardening systems to DISA STIG regulatory standard, remediating vulnerabilities, configuration management, and system monitoring.
  • Supports Linux server environments in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Compute, Azure Storage, Azure Identity Management, and Azure networking features, as well as hybrid workloads in Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
  • Provides as-needed technical support of related tooling, like Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, GitLab, and mail relay services.
  • Performs scripting/automation efforts using Ansible, GitLab, or Python to reduce or eliminate administrative toil.
  • Documents and performs changes and resolves incidents and problems using the client's Configuration Management Tools and Systems.
  • Produces knowledge transfer documentation to the client as required.
  • Participates in Agile project management and a DevSecOps culture as required.

What You Will Need:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Red Hat Enterprise Linux administrator, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Linux systems in Microsoft Azure, prefer experience that includes Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
  • Bachelor's degree . Four(4) Additional years of exp work experience is needed in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead efforts of analysis and resolution of problems or issues and identifies when and how to escalate problems to the appropriate level.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently with varying deadlines and levels of importance.
  • Experience and comfort with change and ambiguity given the ever-evolving nature of the business.
  • Experience collaborating with Technology and Business Teams to deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment, but also independently.
  • Strong detail orientation supported by the ability to take a structured approach to achieve long-term objectives and build sustainable routines.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation for clearance to work in the data center.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7, 8, and 9 operating systems hosted in Azure, Azure VMware Solution (AVS), and other commercial cloud providers.
  • Experience with Azure Compute, Azure Identity Management, Azure Storage, and Azure networking features.
  • Experience with Ansible, GitLab, Python.
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite, mail relay.
  • Experience with Remedy, ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Familiarity with Azure-native monitoring and security tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift).

The annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00-$148,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
