DevOps Consultant (Data Power)

Task Description:

Immediate fill for an experienced DevOps Consultant (Data Power Automation) including but not limited to the following:

Responsible for online web security architecture for the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Woodlawn, MD. The Client Security Access Manager and DataPower security infrastructure supports Citizens, Business Partners, and Employee's access to applications. The candidate must have strong DataPower automation skills. The candidate should have experience building scripts that can be fed into a deployment pipeline using SOMA or REST APIs. Note: The resource will be required to deploy an app with a script and create a baseline model.

• SOMA scripting
• Design and develop automation frameworks for Security Infrastructure Configuration & Administration
• Provide guidance and recommendations on DevOps
• Tuning / Troubleshoot Configuration issues

Full-time support is required Monday through Friday within a flexible band of 6am to 6pm. However, individual schedules will be set in response to the needs of the Government. Occasional scheduled weekend, off-hour, and holiday support will be required to conduct maintenance and repairs. In addition, support personnel may be required to carry a pager or cell phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Response to emergency pages, including coming in to the PEB, NSC or SSC, is expected 24 x 7, 365 days per year. Support personnel may be required to carry a government furnished laptop, rotational cell phone or other communications device. Staff will need to submit a Suitability package which can take about four weeks for the clearance to be processed.

Required skills/Level of Experience:

• SOMA scripting 3 years
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines Git / Bitbucket, Jenkins, Urban Code Build / Deploy 3 years
• XSLT, XML, Datapower Gatewayscript, Javascript, Python, Shell Script 3 Years
• REST APIs / Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 3 Years
• Comfortable using REST management interface for API calls to script and automate certificate management.
• Install and configure DataPower Operations Dashboard (DPOD)
• Use API calls for daily admin tasks- device backup, secure backup and device update
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical.

• Post Return to Work - Expectation onsite at SSA Headquarters specifically the Perimeter East Building (PEB) in Wood lawn MD - Baltimore MD western suburb (recommended 2-hour radius from SSA Headquarters). Required travel to the SSA HQ in Baltimore in two visits. The 1st visit is to initiate the credentialing process in which they will receive a temporary PIV and the 2nd visit is to pick-up their permanent HSPD-12 credential. Also, remote resources will need to travel to Headquarters to renew their HSPD-12 credential every three years.
