Financial Data Analyst - PMIS Migration Project
Location: Houston, TX (Primarily Remote) Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time (6-month contract with possible extension and/or conversion Start Date: Within the Next Month
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst to assist with a major Project Management Information System (PMIS) financial data migration for our Houston-based client. This role involves cleaning, validating, and reconciling financial data pulled from legacy systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with PeopleSoft, deep technical proficiency, and a solid foundation in accounting and finance.
This is a primarily remote position with limited onsite attendance (1-2 days per month). Only candidates local to the Houston area will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Audit and clean financial data from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and map project cost data from Sage 300/Timberline or PeopleSoft into MS Access
Align financial line items to Oracle Primavera Unifier Business Processes, such as budgets, purchase orders, and invoices
Validate migrated data within Oracle Unifier for integrity and performance
Monitor data migration for errors and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile financial records between legacy tools (PeopleSoft, Timberline) and Oracle Unifier using OBIEE, Excel, Access, and sub-ledger systems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
At least 5 years of accounting experience
PeopleSoft experience is REQUIRED
Strong proficiency in:
Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Oracle Financials and construction accounting systems like Timberline
Preferred: Background in healthcare or government sector
Interview & Start Details
Interview Format: 2 rounds (virtual interview + final interview & possible assesment)
Start Date: Aiming for onboarding within 30 days
