Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and product design
- Lead process development projects and propose enhancements to existing systems for improved efficiency and safety
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production to develop and implement optimized workflows
- Define machinery, equipment, and tooling requirements and ensure project timelines and budgets are met
- Recommend new machine or tooling designs and collaborate with vendors to resolve equipment design issues
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Drive cost-reduction and waste-elimination projects to improve profitability and product quality
- Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations on process performance and improvement opportunities
- Support safety and quality initiatives throughout the production environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (automotive preferred)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing process design, equipment selection, and tooling development
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
Nice to Haves
- CAD experience
- Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
- Background in automotive or high-volume production environments
- Experience with product launches or new process implementation
- Demonstrated success leading cost-savings and efficiency projects
