Description
SAIC is seeking a Network Engineer II to provide on-site support for end-point network devices, including printers, access points and conference room equipment. This is a client-facing role where engagement with federal personnel occurs and your brand representation matters. Knowledge and experience working with CISCO appliances and technologies, such as DNAC, ISE and Prime (or similar technologies) is desired. Also, SolarWinds and Wireless controller installation and support desirable. Position does require occasional off-hour support for scheduled maintenance windows which translates into evening on-site requirement.

Job Requirements:
- Providing technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WLAN hardware, switches, firewalls and routers, and familiarity with Cisco Switching, Routing, and VPN
- Providing incident Management/ Service request/ Change Management support.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment network devices.
- Provide as-needed off-our support for emergency or planned maintenance
- Managing and validating network security configurations.
- Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS and 2 years of related experience (4 years' experience in lieu of degree).
- ship required for public trust.
- Experience with enterprise-level network engineering, and administration.
- Experience with common networking devices such as firewalls, switches, and fabric.
- Experience / knowledge of basic routing and switching fundamentals including VSS, inter-VLAN, Routing, STP, and Etherchannel.
- Some hands on/ Good knowledge of Wireless LAN.
- Experience with cabling and standards including CAT5e, CAT6, Fiber and Transceivers .
Desired:
- Experience with Cisco DNAC, ISE preferred
- Experience with SolarWinds
- Experience with IT Security.
- Experience with network management tools, ticketing systems
