Pay: $62.58 - 67.58/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for clearly understanding the vision for the product and communicating the vision to delivery teams
- Responsible for understanding various users of the product, including other systems that may consume the product, in order to ensure that they are building a product that provides value to the users
- Responsible for conducting the necessary research and analysis to fully understand the Product s needs and requirements
- Work with Product Manager, Scrum Master and Development team in maintaining a well-refined and prioritized backlog of sufficient length to support the team s velocity
- Responsible for making sure that the team understands the context of the stories in the backlog and that the team has adequate information to deliver the stories
- Responsible for working with the delivery team to write and refine user stories
- Ensures the product is demonstrated to the business and stakeholders and confirms that the product being delivered meets the business needs
- Works with the delivery team on a daily basis to answer questions and review/approve stories being developed
- Responsible for developing test plans for individual stories and testing the stories to ensure it meets the business requirements
- Work with the Product Manager to develop end to end test case and assist in planning, sequencing, coordinating and helping users to carry out UAT
- Help in the creation of personas, journey maps, empathy maps, surveys or utilize other tools and techniques to ensure the product users are well understood by the delivery team
- Create burn up charts or other forecasting in order to set business expectations around prioritization and what may be in a given release
- Create an environment of continuous improvement by using data to answer questions
- Bring in the latest innovative thinking and ideas from the Agile community to increase agility, leveraging lean, scrum, kanban, and other agile thinking
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor s degree
- Certified SAFe Agilist, CSPO, or A-CSPO strongly preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in software, technology, program management and program implementation
- At least 3 years of experience in product management using agile framework
- Experience with agile approaches and concepts including Scrum, Kanban, XP or equivalent.
- Experience with the ServiceNow platform; role will specifically support Customer Service Management (CSM) and Field Service Management (FSM) modules
Skills and Qualifications:
- Track record of successfully deploying products that involve multiple cross-functional teams from initiation to delivery
- High degree of initiative and capacity to lead multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment.
- Practical experience creating stories and grooming backlogs
- Proven ability to translate a product vision into an action
- Can demonstrate techniques for quickly and effectively understanding a client domain and product
- Demonstrated experience in helping stakeholders identify business value/objectives and using this to prioritize work
- Demonstrate ability to effectively negotiate between competing stakeholders to ensure highest value objectives are met
- Demonstrate an understanding of 'Personas' and how to identify users and create personas to represent them
- Experience working in multiple Agile environments as a Product Owner
- Experience in both agile and lean software development values and principles
- Demonstrate how to breakdown product features into well-defined stories with acceptance to create a product backlog
- Has experience in healthy conflict resolution and finding the best solutions to address issues and work effectively through disagreements
